Getting Started: Connecting with New Partners

Best practices for making new connections

Many offices are looking for a better, more secure method to transfer confidential patient information.  When asked to use SafeReferral, by a subscriber, up to 94% of those asked have said “yes”

Follow the following steps to make the transition to SafeReferral as easy as possible.

  1. Speak or email with two people at each potential partner office. The provider who refers patients and the administrator who facilitates the transfer of data.
  2. If they already use SafeReferral simply ask them to choose your practice by clicking on the connections icon in the top left corner of the partner dashboard.  Once they request the connection, it will appear in the top right corner of your dashboard to approve the connection and send an email to your administrator.
  3. If they do not already use SafeReferral, your office can register them by completing the registration details through your subscriber dashboard.  Clicking on the connections icon in the top left corner of the subscriber dashboard and enter practice name, providers and email address.  This will send them download instructions and an activation code.   Once installed, it is ready for communication with your office.
  4. If they do not already use SafeReferral, and you would like SafeReferral to register them have the office register themselves under the “free trial/new partner tab“.  SafeReferral will contact them and send download instructions and an activation code.  Once they’ve installed the program, they’ll need to add their providers (under their “My Settings” tab) then request a connection to your office using the connections icon in the top left corner of their dashboard. Once they request the connection, it will appear in the top right corner of your dashboard to approve the connection and send an email to your administrator.

Customized flyers are available through your subscriber vendor to email or snailmail to potential partners.
